I assume I'm preaching to the choir but will this ever operate as a normal search should?

For example, i searched for the Alien Covenant film thread on the Entertainment board by searching on that board on the word "alien" trying both title only and title plus responses. It never found it so I had to manually search page by page before I found it on page 9.

After posting on that thread and bringing it to the top, I searched again and it showed up on page 2 of the search results. Still unacceptable but at least it found it this time.
