I've been having problems with the site when accessing on my iPad. I've noticed the problems occur when the URL has v4 on the front. Probably a dumb question, but why does the v4 sometimes show up and how can I avoid it?

The v4 is just part of how our site is constructed. you cannot get rid of it.

We have thousands of users on iPads. What problems are you experiencing?

Interesting. The v4 does not always show up but when it does, I have problems. Sometimes the url is http://texags.com... Other times it is http://v4.texags.com. The problem is when I click on a forum message it gets hung up and times out. I don't have this problem on any other sites nor on my macbook or iMac. I do have the same problem on my iPhone.

I should add that the problem only occurs when I'm connected at home through my wireless router.

when you say "forum messages", do you mean like this page (the one you are reading right now)?

ok. your issue, then, should have nothing to do with the "v4" side of our site.

when it hangs, does it eventually go through or does it error out?

It times out and says the server stopped responding. Again, I have two pages open as I type this- one has the v4 and it's not working; the one without it is working.

I was having the same problem this weekend. Laptop and Ipad were side by side and both connected to same network. Laptop worked fine but Ipad would tell me the server stopped responding. Sometimes it would be working and then timeout when I tried to go to the next page. Other times it would not let me onto the site at all.

Tested more today and it only happens on my home wifi. Works fine on office wifi and laptop works fine on home network. I have not had trouble with any other websites.

We've have had this same unresolved issue with Houston Comcast users for a number of months. Comcast claims its not them, but it is clear there is something wrong on their end.

I've been trying to find a user willing to let me remotely login in to their system to do some additional investigation. Would you be willing?

Fall87, your issue seems to be a little different then what we've seen typically, but are you, by chance, also a Comcast Houston user?

I am also in Houston on Comcast. It does appear to me to be a Comcast problem, although Texags is the only site I have issues with and it is only on my iPads and iPhones- no problems with any other devices some of which are apple products. I have tested my iPad and iPhone on other wifi networks not using Comcast and I have no problems.

The strangest thing about my problem is: if I go to yahoo and search on texags, the second result that comes up is a link to the texags A&M Football page (non-premium). When I click on that link, the page will open and I can navigate the site using the jump to box at the bottom of the page and it works fine. Note that when I do that, the v4 never appears in the URL. I am a far cry from being technical so I have no idea what this means or why this works, but I am able to use the site on my iPad by going through this process.

To be more specific, I am able to navigate the Forums, but that is it. None of the links at the top of the page (e.g., the Home link) will work.

I have Comcast in Pittsburgh and have the same issue.

I can navigate v4 pages only when I'm not logged in. When I log in and a cookie is created, my v4 pages freeze.

I haven't tried mobile.texags.com on my iPad yet, but it doesn't work on my iPhone when I'm connected to wifi at home.

I can try later this evening, but my guess is I will have the same issue.

Just checked. Mobile Texags does not work on the iPad either.

I'm using the standard Xfinity router that Comcast provides.

On the bottom it says ARRIS
Model: TG86G/CT

So far everyone I've heard from (via email) has this same router. Not conclusive, but very interesting. A quick search across the web gives a plethora of weird issues with the router, a few of which are very similar to what we are experiencing.

Additionally, Comcast has issued a notice about confirmed bugs with this router. It might be worth trying to get a newer model from them and see if it fixes anything.

I am with Xfinity in Houston also. Having the same issues with my Nook HD and iPhone 4S. I am considering taking my modem to the Comcast store to get an exchange. Will report back.

Just downloaded ios 6.1 update to my iPad last night and can now access v4 pages and premium videos. Wasn't able to before.
