I ate at Panda Express for the first time around 10 years ago and thought it was terrible. My kids have been wanting to eat there because all their friends love it, so I gave in and took them over the summer, still terrible. I've heard it was good before they expanded all over the place.

This. There is no difference between Panda and probably 90% of Chinese places out there. It's chicken nuggets covered in sauce.

I like Panda Express. Get the chow mein, orange chicken, and some spring rolls. Bigger plate is enough for two meals.

Love me some hot fresh panda to go
A 2 entree plate and a couple of egg rolls is enough for 2

And their hot chili paste allows you to fine tune the heat

Panda & Chipotle both travel well and are almost as good at home

Learn to make your own. It's not that hard. Package of Asian noodles. A protein and a veggie (Bok Choy is $). Mushrooms, onion, ginger and garlic sauted. Sauce from the noodle packet along with extra sauce of choice: soy, Bachan's Japanese BBQ, MSG. Finished with a Tbs of Kewpie Mayo. Top with fresh green onion and/or cilantro.

The chicken quality is terrible and the orange sauce isn't that great.

From that perspective its pretty different

I made some broccoli and beef in the crock pot for a lazy meal and it turned out way better and left overs were a plus
