Kinda hard to contemplate with the gates of Hell temperatures, but I think it's about time to make the annual eggnog batches.

The AB recipe still everyone's favorite?

I made a batch of Alton's nog that sat for 3 years in the fridge, truly gets smoother as it ages.

Time to make a batch or three.

Yep, and its time.

Also on a whim I made an AB batch last year but with only good Tequila. I was surprised but it was fantastic and will be doing one round of it this year as well.

The Aged Egg Nog recipe on AB's website changed, didn't it?

I definitely don't remember a phase 1, phase 2, and immersion blender.

Either way, made a batch from what I remembered this weekend. Also have a bottle I was able to save from last year.

Made ours 2 days ago and noticed the same. There didn't use to be the ph1/ph2 thing. Don't think it matters much as I'm pretty sure all the ingredients/amounts are the same.

I'm guessing he was advised to revise it by a legal team or something. I watched the video linked above and he specifically calls out doing it in phases because it's a higher abv content in phase 1 to kill any salmonella

I've got a 3 year jar. Will it be obvious if it has gone off? I'm not inclined to test using my GI system.
