Does anyone have any good recipes for the Mediterranean diet? Most of the online recipes are stupid or made with foods you've never heard of. Any ideas are appreciated.

If I was doing the Mediterranean diet, I'd be eating aglio e olio every other day, with a protein (probably grill steak or chicken) for lunch/dinner. I don't eat seafood, but if you like seafood, switch out the steak/chicken with fish like salmon or shrimp.

I'd also only eat bread I made myself, since processed bread is a no-no. Just make a basic bread dough (flour/water/salt/yeast), let it rise, punch it down, shape it into rolls, let them rise, then bake. Serve with olive oil and minced garlic with some red pepper flakes as a dipping sauce.

As someone who has family in Italy, the key to the health of Italians is the fact that they're physically active. After you eat a meal, go outside and walk around for 10 minutes, get the blood flowing. Italians pretty much walk everywhere.

I like to make my own shawarma style chicken thighs. I coat chicken thighs in a mixture of greek yogurt, Greek seasoning, and fresh lemon juice. I have a skewer pan and layer the thighs on the skewer. I sprinkle a little of the seasoning on each thigh as it goes on the skewer. Cook at 350 for 30-40 minutes until done and then spoon the drippings over the thighs before cutting chunks of chicken off the skewer.

If you don't have a skewer pan, you can also cook the thighs in a bread loaf pan. Just coat the pan with olive oil and mash the thighs down into a loaf. Cook for 30-40 minutes.
