Anyone else having issues this morning? Got my bird on the Egg with no issues. Then about 40 minutes in the cook, the controller goes offline and the app goes wonky. Shut it down .. . Tried logging off and back in … total crash. So I deleted the app and tried to reinstall it, but the Flame Boss site is crashing, too. Ugh … what a day for this! Gonna have an old-school cook!

My flame boss app is working perfectly. I currently have a 15# spatchcock turkey on the egg.

Howdy Jason, hate to say it, but mine did the same thing last year, and you guessed it, gotta buy a Whole New One!

We survived … probably the best turkey I've ever cooked. Ha!

Mine was off and on all morning. Consistent problem for FB on big cooking holidays. No excuse for it really.

People BBQ/smoke with an App controlling their pit? Is that what I'm reading?

No need to use an app if you know how to smoke meat.

Pretty sure most, if not all, of the people on here know how to smoke meat

IIRC, the Flame Boss app just allows you to control temp when you're away from your BGE

It basically frees you up to enjoy your day so you're not tied to your BGE to moderate temp during the whole smoke.

My flameboss also had issues on Thanksgiving. The app was showing the wrong pit temp and then no meat prob temp even though I had 2 probes connected and a cook time of 24hrs even though I had just started. Now the base unit temps were correct.

I like the Thermoworks Signals, the time history graphing feature on the app is great, and the wifi controls are very handy for monitor and control.
