I'm always in charge of the gravy at family Christmas/Thanksgiving, and I do like the flavor the liver, gizzard, and heart give, but all I can find is neck pieces at the HEBs. I wonder if any restaurants that cook "carry out" Thanksgiving might give some up? Any other ideas?
It only took me a year to figure out this place is nuts!

It's not turkey, but Walmart sells chicken gizzards. You can buy a packet of those and a package of necks; that's what I do.

I would also call a butcher shop. I maybe mistaken but I think Readfields sales turkey gizzards.

I get my turkey thigh meat from Ruffino because they are the only ones that sell it.

Use a packet or jar. Prime your guests with bourbon and they won't know the difference

You gotta have the turkey drippings to make the proper gravy

We use gizzards, livers and hearts in a giblet gravy as well as dirty rice dressing. We get them at HEB.

The "person in charge" (my sister) orders her turkey and nothing else. We never have any giblets, so I feel OP's pain.
