Have they changed their recipe in the past year or so? Between their lager, Kolsch, hef, and another one, it tastes like they use a base beer and add the required flavor to call it whatever. I'm not even sure if that possible but after drinking one of each they all begin to taste the same.

Most of those will be using pilsner malt, some may use the same yeast but the Hef has a completely different malt bill and yeast type/fermentation temp.

As in wildly different.

Kolsch is different from a lager in yeast type, but they could use the same malt bill.

if they are adding "flavor" to the beer, then they are liars since they brew under Reinheitsgebot.

I had some of their Hef yesterday and it tasted like it always has. Out of all their beers I like the Hef the best so usually only one I'll drink. That's said the Live Oak Hef or one of the Munich German Hefs are superior
