Probably be a few fights and disagreements in here but let it be.

Best Bagel place in Texas?
Best Bagel place in the world?
Best bagel chain.

Bite the Bagel in Killeeen, TX.
World? Never been to NY but that's supposed to be the Mecca.

Einstein Bros. bagels and their shmear is the absolute best!

No idea about best but Kingwood Bagel Company has been around a long time and I think they do a good job. I'm not that big a bagel guy so I'm not the right resource for the "Best" conversation.

If your local HEB bakery does bagels, the jalapeño cheddar ones are shockingly good. Perfectly soft when toasted.

If the bagels aren't boiled, they are not bagels...

These are very good in Houston. New York Deli

I've been to a couple of highly rated bagel places in New York, and I guess I'm just not that big of a bagel guy, because I thought they were overrated. Was it better than Einstein or Panera? Absolutely, but not worth waiting over 30 minutes for. It's a bagel. Saying that, an everything bagel with chive and cream cheese is my goto.

For Texas...Kingwood Bagel is close to me and a great option. Brooklyn Cafe is good too. I like Bagel Bob's on Dairy Ashford in Houston if I'm ever in the area at the right time.

I'm going to NYC next year and have been looking for options. Bagel Market and Broadway Bagel are at the top of the list for now.

As someone who lived in NYC for 7 years, I won't call bagels in texas garbage, but they sure as hell aren't the same.

Nervous Charlie's in austin was supposed to be "just as good." They were good, but not NYC good.

Bacon, egg, and cheese on an Everything Bagel was my "go to" for many years. I missed it, but not enough to move back up there.

Have you tried these? Best in the Austin area.

Not much of a bagel eater, but my stepson lives in Foxboro. Prretty much any mom and pop bagel shop there is better than what I have had in Texas. If I had to live up there, would definitely eat them more.
