Papa Geno's in Houston for a cheesesteak. On the Charley's only being in malls, at least in the Houston area there are several stand alone locations. I will probably misspell it but nobody likes muffuletta? Last thing, RIP but there us to be a great sandwich shop in Northgate caddy corner to the post office, it was called Farmers Market, fantastic subs!
I love a good muffuletta, but Central Grocery in NOLA ruined me. Haven't had one better since.

Read this like Joe Dirtt talking to the fireworks stand guy…

You're telling me Tony's does a better Rueben than K&Z… You stand there and insist that Tony's does a better bagel, lox and cream cheese than Kenny & Ziggy's… You got the gall to tell me Tony's has a better corned beef, or tongue or pastrami…

I do not believe you sir. I do not believe you.

I grew up in New Orleans and find the muffuletta at Jason's Deli acceptable. The manager special is a 1/4 muff and soup, and I get the gumbo which is just just ok, though very dark which is the way I like it.

Always thought Kenny and Ziggys was overrated. It's good, but it's not $30/sandwich good.

The Great Outdoors is one of those shops they make something that may not be the best looking in the world but it's sooo damn tasty.

Late lunch was great today.

Haven't tried it, but Gino's at Huebner & Lockhill Selma in San Antonio made the top 10 in US last year. Going to try it soon I hope.

If It had a cash advance place next to it, you know it was quality.

Speaking of cheesesteak, has anyone gone to Arby's and tried their new sandwich?

I don't eat at Arby's, but I'm curious how it turned out.

The sandwich is also $30 because it has like two pounds of meat on it.

But, I do agree. If they just put less meat and charged normal prices I'd probably go more often.

I will continue to contest that Firehouse Subs is incredibly overrated. It's ok to good. Nowhere even close to great.

This is not a $12 sandwich. I don't know why I continue to test this bout once a year. Maybe to see if things change.

They don't.

Got scammed by a ghost kitchen the other day through Uber Eats. Ordered a cheese steak from Whiz Wit Cheesesteaks.

It's a ghost kitchen name hosted by Victor's Deli off Highway 6 and Champion Forest Drive.

It's was -abysmal-.

Why is there lettuce? Nothing against lettuce, per se, but it doesn't belong on a cheesesteak.

The real Victor's Deli is pretty solid. Dated a girl who lived of 1960 when it was still pretty nice (i.e. way before Katrina) and Victor's was a regular stop. Great breakfast too.

The hidden gem in that area was Mr. Hoagies. Awesome Italian and meatball subs.

What's your go to sub for that classic busy workday lunch? I live in N. Austin area. Hoodies makes great subs and I haven't been to thundercould subs.

Jersey Mikes and Potbelly are my two favorite sandwich shops right now.

Delaware subs off Far West in Austin is pretty good.
