Yes, we know your homemade salsa is the best. But which store brand salsas are worthy? This is what I currently have and it's not terrible. I bought it at Aldi. This is my second jar

I've bought Mateo's at Costco off and on for a number of years. It's not my favorite chips and salsa choice. However, I like to cook about a half jar or so into a pound of hamburger for a solid shortcut for taco meat. Jack's(also available at Costco, or used to be) is even better for that purpose and better with chips.

Along those same lines the 505 Flame Roasted Hatch Green Chile cooked into chicken makes a very good quesadillas filling.

Currently have Gunslinger and Pace Restaurant Style. I know, it's Pace, but it's my favorite on scrambled eggs.

I need to try La Casita.

I buy Herdez and add a little of Dave's Gourmet Insanity Sauce to bring it to my temp. This weekend I made my own with my carolina reapers.

This has been my go-to for over 20 years.

It's very similar to the now gone taqueria in my hometown I grew up going to.

I mix (50/50) a jar of Hot with a jar of Mild and it's perfect …(for me at least)…

Really big fan of the Matteos Gourmet Hatch Salsa when I dont make my own. Just really good flavor with the consistency that I and my wife prefer. Only complaint is that I wish it was a little spicier. When we have friends or family over, I will sometimes add a little cayenne just to kick it up a bit more.

Like Mateo's medium hatch chili… their attempt at hot is sad, the regular is okay.

I can make homemade Mateo's like (but better) by adding key lime, garlic granules and red wine vinegar. Now my daughter won't eat Mateo's any more,

key lime > lemon juice from concentrate
Chiltepin > any other chili
Roasted Camari tomatoes > any other tomatoes

Why buy when it's so easy to make.
14.5 oz diced tomatoes or equal amt of fresh
1 jalapeño ( more or less)
1 tbl pureed chipotle/ adobo
1 small clove garlic
Thumb sized chunk of onion
juice of 1 lime
Small wad of cilantro
1 tsp cumin
Pinch of sugar
Buzz it all up in food processor.

My favorite one at HEB. The Texas Mild is similar to a medium (decent amount of kick).

Wish we could get it consistently in College Station. Have not seen it in Specs for a long time. I need another protein feeder also.
