My wife inherited a family recipe called "squirrelly biscuits" that
involves making fairly normal biscuits but cooking them at
high temp in bacon grease in the oven. Fried biscuits, kinda.

Off topic but I was in Seattle a few years ago, stayed right around the corner from a place called The Biscuit *****. They do takes on biscuits and gravy, like The Sweet ***** (nutella), Butttery *****, Spicy *****, etc. It was pretty good probably the most adventuresome biscuits I have had.

Yesterday was National Donut Day, and wifey got a bearclaw.
We also each got a free tee-shirt for being regular customers.

Well, the photo wouldn't post so I'm back to reminiscing
about biscuits instead of donuts.
Had GV frozen biscuits with homemade sausage gravy
this morning - the unusual part was the sausage was
leftover smoked chicken&cheese links cut into bits.
Might have been better off with a jellies plate.

The roast beef debris biscuit from Mothers in NOLA is an absolutely fabulous way to start the day. Gets you back to feeling right after a night of partying.

Biscuits Etoufee at Mahony's in NOLA.

Biscuit, cheddar, bacon, corn maque choux, crawfish etoufee, fried crawfish tails.

Personally at home I like a plain biscuit w/sausage gravy, but I add cheddar and diced pickled jalapenos to my gravy. it is killer.
Staff - take out the trash.

That's what I like to put in Jiffy Cornbread.
For shrimp, I like coconut breading.
But you have got me interested in mud bugs.

Edit: What recipe? I don't use no frigging recipe.

I get the jalepenos in the can with the carrots and onions and chop all that up for cornbread. Same for hush puppies.

I'm counting the days until my July 4th trip to Denver and subsequent visit to the Denver Biscuit Co.
