Who makes great chili and what makes it so? I like to use a dark beer and throw in a little pico and jerk seasoning into the chili.

I use leftover brisket smoked flat, and leftover smoked pork butt.

That alone has elevated my chili.

Some say people on TexAgs have been arguing about chili since the site was born.

Not caring what other people think about something as trivial as putting beans in chili has had the biggest effect on mine.

Also, using chili puree combined with powder.

Use dried chilis not chili powder.
