Had a good bartender recommend this book and said it's the mixologists bible that everyone had his restaurant had to read. Anyone else got this book?

It's much more than cocktail recipes. Breaks down the history, types of glassware and why to use certain glassware, how to make infused flavors and honestly very easy to make cocktails that are great. Started playing around with daiquiri's last week as well as some old drinks like the Sidecar and Gimblet, and everything has been 10x what you get at an average bar.

It's the single best cocktail book I own. And I own a lot of them...

The Codex is great.
Their optimal versions of cocktails have been delicious - especially the classic daiquiri - mixing 3/4 oz of agricole for some of the rum is genius.

It's really neat how they show the evolution of and the relation of cocktails to each other. Very cool book to have - and reasonably priced!
