Taco Bell bean burritos. I know they're crap but I love them.

Now let me tell you a legendary, epic story: for a couple of summers growing up in my small town, for a limited time, our Allsups sold FOOT LONG burritos.

Kraft blue box Mac-n-cheese. I've been known to eat an entire box by myself.

The hard part is so many of those "nostalgic" foods have evolved due to corporate ownership changes or health trends and no longer taste like they used to. Prime example on this thread is McDonald's nuggets. I'd probably buy a box from time to time if they still made them with dark meat. They just suck now and taste nothing like they used to. Same goes for a Big Mac although I make my own often enough to satisfy that craving.

Probably the only cringe worthy food I'll still get on a somewhat regular basis for old time sake is SPAM. Fried spam and American cheese sandwich grilled on white bread if I really want to double down on the WT.

One that I miss is the ham and cheese sandwich at Sonic. Haven't seen it in literally decades but that sandwich was my childhood version of Chick-fil-A. Ham, cheese, tomato, lettuce slathered in mayo on warm Texas toast. Sonic needs to bring that back!

Never a place I'd recommend to new people in town, but I'll go any old time and get some fried pickles, a big willy, and some amazing tenders.

And it's almost always out within 5 min of ordering. Spooky fast.

The volcano tacos at Taco Bell are amazing and finally back after a long absence.

Alfredo pizza from Cici's pizza. Cici's is ass and 99% of their locations are ghetto, but that Alfredo pizza is dang good when it's fresh

Jack in the Box tacos - I know it's not beef and I don't know what it is but it slaps
Kraft Mac n Cheese - Just plain ol blue box mac n cheese is hard to beat
Top Ramen - It's now .33 instead of .11 but it still hits the spot especially the lime chili shrimp

All of those are spot on. I always thought the "meat" in JB tacos came from the same place as the filling in Chef-Boyardee "beef" ravioli.

Ramen with a fried egg and chili oil is a regular quick meal for me. No guilt.

I got some of their french bread pizza at the store yesterday for the first time in a looooooooong time, and it was just as good as I remember.

they say the best part of having children is the unconditional love you experience. but, for me, it was eating all the sh*tty snack food that i hadn't had in 30+ years...goldfish, box mac n cheese, etc.

Cheapo fish sticks with way too much ketchup. It's garbage but it tastes like my childhood

There are two meals I jump on any time I get the chance to be in College Station.

Wings N More
Wings/Tender Combo
Hot Garlic on the wings
Curly Fries
Ranch

Gumby's
Five pepperoni rolls
Ranch

And I would recommend both meals to anyone.

Edit to add that Wings N More, much like Layne's, is just different in College Station. I don't know where both places get their chicken from, but I freaking love the skinny tenders you get at both places. It's not the same outside of CS.
