G4, Ocho, Siete leguas are fairly available and very solid choices $50-80
Pricey - Tears of Ilorona, fortaleza (only pricey because its almost only secondary prices)
Stay away from casa migos, clase azul, 1942, herradura, etc
Ended up going with this one and it was a hit.
I stopped in a shady liquor store in the barrio to grab some michelada mix that I buy there and was able to snag a bottle of Cazcanes No. 9 Rosa Reposado and it was certainly worth the wait!
Fantastic offering that even at its slightly elevated price point ($118) is well worth it. I'm gonna make it a point to swing by and pick up another bottle or two to keep handy.

Highly recommend the Lalo High Proof
My favorites so far as I've been on a tequila kick the last six months. Had trouble finding some of the other ones suggested on here.

My top three blancos are:
- Siete Leguas
- Cascahuin
- Lalo
They are always available at Total Wine here in DFW. $50 is about my limit for a regular proof Blanco. I haven't been super impressed with the limited pours I've had from bottles above that price.

One of the things I like best about tequila is the lower proof, but a high proof Lalo is very intriguing. The regular proof is just so clean and easy to drink.
That my problem. I'll drink a bottle of Lalo or ET in a week or so. Much rather drink tequila over beer. It just gets expensive for me.
Same, but I was curious with the Lalo and it definitely has more bite, but is still enjoyable like the normal proof

For Balnco- Fortaleza & G4 are really good, followed by Ocho and el Tesoro. Lalo also is pretty good; Siete Legunas, not a fan.

We seem to have different tastes, but Tapatio was good, but nothing special.. if it was about $5 cheaper it would be a great value. But at $40, it's just meh.
Which Cascahuin are you talking about here? There is a sub $50 bottle then a couple of $80-$90 bottles.BurnetAggie99 said:

Cimarron Blanco is my go to for a cheaper additive free tequila. $24.99 at specs
There is also a G4 100 proof. Does anyone have an opinion on that one?
I haven't seen a G4 blanco 100 proof. I have a 90 proof blanco, it's their 2024 "Fermentado en Madera". Notably better than the standard 80 proof if you can find it.

Cimmaron is a great choice. I also like Arrette at that price point as well.

I'm sipping on this high proof Lalo this evening and it's great. Got a little burn on the lips but goes down super smooth and easy.
Makes a very nice sipper. Interested to see how it tastes in a paloma or a ranch water.

Bought G4 and el tesoro today. Enjoyed both. G4 reminds me a lot of lalo. They had several bottles of lalo high proof, but it was $25 more than normal lalo. I decided to wait until next time.
Snagged some fortaleza Blanco at specs in Plano this morning.

I bought a bottle of Chamucos Blanco yesterday, it had an interesting "funk" to it. Does anyone have experience with it?
