My brother will be in BCS in two weeks. We have our BBQ plans set, but he wants chicken fried steak as well. Where should we go?

Ahhh. That brings back good memories!

Longhorn Tavern has long been a staple. I don't think it's the best i've ever had but maybe it's the most consistent, and there's a certain taste to it/feel to going to eat there that is classic and enjoyable.

The best I've had in the past couple years has been at Ronin. Unfortunately I've also gone and been disappointed by the CFS there too.

Sodolak's is good. I've heard mixed things about Gate 12.

Also, your BBQ plans better include 1775.

Unless you have a real specific reason for wanting to go, I'd skip ATKM. Fargo's is cheaper and better. Go get some rib tips from them.

Marfa TX Kitchen CFS w jalapeño gravy might be the best in Aggieland right now.
