Good Morning Ags!
The wonderful people at Rebecca Creek has granted us access to do another barrel pick! On Tuesday, May 9th, we will be in San Antonio for a Spanish Oak pick. I have been told by their VP and Master Distiller that one of the four barrels we will be tasting is the highest proof that Rebecca Creek has in their rack house at 129 Proof. There are only 12 barrels Spanish Oak barrels remaining and we have been allowed access to claim one. As many on here have said, this is probably one of the best whiskies to ever come out of Texas.
With that being said, I want to use this opportunity to help raise money for the Blue Skies Foundation. This foundation is a veteran founded nonprofit organization dedicated to providing post-mishap support for the Army Aviation community and their families. I have personally lost 3 close friends within the last 3 years, all aviators in the US Army. Together, we can help the families who tragically lost their husband, wife, son or daughter while serving their country. In fact, just this past week, another two helicopters went down, so I know the time is now to help.
I predict each bottle will be $50-60 BEFORE the donation. For each bottle you request, I ask that you donate $10 to the Blue Skies Foundation. (Example: If you request 2 bottles, you will donate $20) I will explain later how to donate and show me proof of donation. Due to the demand for Spanish Oak, this pick will be a 2 bottle MAX request. OLC has asked us to set aside a few cases for them and their customers this time and I am setting a few aside for more charity raffles in other groups.
There are 100 bottles available. Reply with how many you want below. (2 bottle max) If you live out of state please coordinate with someone that is able to pick up your bottles and ship them to you before claiming bottles. Bottle Release Party at OLC will be early July or early August.
This will cap at 100 bottles and I will be keeping track this morning.
Thank you all so much for the support.
