When abroad, what are some things you ate that you immediately started trying to find in the US when you got back?



I recently got back from Sinaloa, and this stuff was great:
Luckily was able to find it here.



Also, this grapefruit soda from Jamaica that I can sometimes find at Central Market:

Presidents Choice (a store brand in Canada) has a mint chocolate egg nog that's insanely good. Also Snack Pack makes a "toffee" pudding available in Canada and it's pretty great.

First morning of my honeymoon 20 years ago they had this at the end of the breakfast buffet, so I generously covered my eggs and flying fish cakes. After my face exploded and I learned to use it in correct moderation, it went on everything.

Got addicted to Huang Fei Hong peanuts when I lived in China. They have those Sichuan peppercorns that make your tongue numb. You can find them in some Asian grocery stores here.

Looks similar to Nobby's Nuts. My aunt used to put together boxes of goodies from Tesco when she was in the UK and those were always one of my favorites!

Been to a Nando's in London a few times and like to get their Peri-Peri sauce off Amazon to scratch that itch. I know they have a Nando's in Houston now but not in Austin.

Grill up some chicken and slather it on (the garlic one is my favorite):

This one is good. Perfect heat. Great on scrambled eggs. I want to try in on grilled fish or chicken.

Marks and Spencer's (British grocer) has a granola/flakey cereal that is amazing. I haven't eaten cereal regularly since I was in high school and I'll plow through two boxes in a week over there.

Pretty similar. The German ones aren't spicy but have a slightly smokey hit from the paprika.
