What is the best commercial bloody mary mix? Doesn't have to be spicy- I can add my own tabasco.

Based on my limited experience:
  • Zing Zang - good mix of flavor and spice
  • Traeger - wildcard recommendation but has a nice smoke flavor. Also a good marinade.

I'd say Zing Zang. I prefer low sodium V8 and spice it up from there.

Revolution & Zin Zang. Add a little Tabasco and Spicy Tony's seasoning and not a bad quick bloody.

I doctor my bloodys with pickle juice, Worcestershire, fresh lime juice, hot sauce, and bacon salt or smoked s&p.

For reference, my preferred mix is Zing Zang with Charleston mix as a close second. Tried Barbecue Wife and no one in my household liked it.

Apparently I've been doing this for a long time. My go to mix is one 5.5oz can each Hot & Spicy V8 and Clamato, doctored with Worcestershire, prepared horseradish, hot sauce, and some kind of brine (pickle, olive, cocktail onion).

Maybe that is "making a Bloody Mary" rather than "using a mix". But it isn't much work and doesn't require anything a well stocked fridge wouldn't have.

I've also switched to bourbon over vodka.

McClure's. Not close. Much cheaper if you order case directly from them, it many of the Krogers with Murray's cheese shops carry it.

Gonna be an unpopular opinion, but I don't like a thick/pulpy Bloody Mary. My go-to is Clamato Michelada Especial, lime, Cajun chef, and black pepper.
