They would have. The one rye barrel we tried wouldn't have made our top 3 though. I crashed another pick going on with Mark Carter of Old Carter, and I would have taken our wheat over the rye they picked as well.

Now they did also release their 7yr rye at the distillery yesterday. It was real good and three bottles of it came home with me as well.

Ok, I'm finally back in Dallas and ready to get everyone their whiskey. This barrel is even more special now as it took a detour to a Masters practice round on its way home. I'd wager some money it was the only barrel of whiskey hanging out in the parking lot of Augusta National this week.

Anyway, there are only 2 non-payers left standing, and at this point they are in danger of not having their bottles on the truck heading south this weekend: sawemoffshort09 (1), Monywolf (2). It doesn't look like I can pm them, so if anyone knows any of them, please let them know.

Also, I don't have a location for SpiderDude.

For Distribution
Dallas: I'm your man, so please pm or email me(kdprater at gmail) and we can setup getting your bottles.

Fort Worth: Naveronski has volunteered to mule the bottles back from Dallas, so if you are a Fort Worth Person, he'll be your contact.

Austin: MarathonAg12 is going to be the contact there, but I'll most likely be bringing him the bottles to Austin the weekend of the RC release (April 21)

San Antonio: I'm hoping they'll take a ride with the RC bottles

Houston: There were several people that volunteered for Houston but it looks like Sazerac maybe the most central to be the main distributor? I'll update this with a confirmed contact and info when I get it.

B/CS: 555-PINF is going to be your man.

If I can get contact info for the mules I'll add that.

Yeah Houston is big enough we can setup some alternate distribution. Let a see if we can get Houston list to post or PM me contact and part of town they would want to pick up. We will get 3-4 setup.

Just a thought, and I don't know the likelihood it could happen, but since it is a TexAgs bottle and was at the Masters, would it be possible to see if one, or more, of the 40 reserved for auction could be signed by Sam Bennett?

This is an awesome idea. Didn't do a an auction with the remaining bottles, we simply sold them at a slightly higher price and asked for additional donations as well.

However, I did hold back a bottle for the auction MarathonAg12 was talking about putting together for the Blue Skies Foundation. If someone happens to have a connection and can help get it signed, that would be cool.

Shoot man, thanks so much! That'll be a special bottle to be a reminder to me there are good people like yourself out there helping out with Special Friends and other groups just like them.

Hadn't been following to terribly close so do I need to coordinate with Saz or other? Saw your email address earlier in the thread when i looked through just now so if I need to drop you a line there I can since no stars, so no PM.

Houston area

Sazerac will be handling most of the distribution. Anyone who wants to pick up on the west side of the area, I'm at 10-West and Grand Parkway. Anyone who wants to pick up from there needs to let me know by Friday 4/14. After that I'll be giving the bottles to Sazerac.

Anyone who is eager to get their bottles and is willing to come out this way is welcome to as well.
