Thinking about getting one. Normally just cook my rice in a pot, and it turns out pretty good most of the time. But was wondering if it's worth getting a small (1-2 cup) rice cooker for a single guy to save a little time. Don't really like buying excess kitchen gadgets and crowding my small kitchen, since I can typically do most things on my own.

If it's worth getting a small rice cooker, any recommendations?

So I was in that same predicament, and ultimately just went with a pressure cooker, that way I can do beans in less than an hour, chili verde, etc. there's some good methods online for rice, I do 3 minutes high pressure, 10 minute natural release with no heat. Turns out great doing 1:1 rice:water

Definitely Zojirushi. Love my induction rice cooker. Perfect every time.

If you don't want to spend that much money I recommend just getting a cheap Oster brand from target or Walmart. That's what I have and it's been just fine. Much more reliable than the pot method given my ADD.

I have a ****oo with induction and pressure and it's great other than all the singing in Korean, which I could do without.
