Good machine. Looks like you're interested in a super automatic? Some other options out there too that might be cheaper, but Jura puts out a good espresso.

I have a $750 Gaggia Velasca Prestige super automatic that been nails for the past 3 years.

Also, suggest our purchasing from these folks: https://www.wholelattelove.com/

They ship fast, offer great customer service, offer reward points that can be used for discount coupons, and have a great selection of beans.

I have the Gaggia Cadorna Prestige. I love it.

To me the biggest difference between most Jura models and Gaggia is the cleaning.

Many Gaggia machines require you to remove the brew group for cleaning (super easy) once a week. There is also some periodic greasing of o-rings. Again super easy. I am a technical person who likes to build and tunker. I prefer the little extra hands on part of the Gaggia. Other people prefer more hands off.

I clean the machine, including the milk carafe and milk circuit deep clean (using Rinza cleaner) once a week religiously. To meet it's satisfying,

Check out the YouTube page from 'Whole Latte Love'. They have extremely in-depth reviews on all these machines. Plus they will have separate videos going into great detail on the operation, maintenance, and cleaning of all these machines. If you buy one you will feel like you already know how to use it before you open the box.

The downside is I went from drinking a lot of coffee each day to drinking way too much coffee each day.

We've had the same machine for just over a year. It has been a welcomed upgrade from the keurig.

We replaced our keurig as well. Only downside is I'm drink too many cappuccinos during the day!

there's a ton of specialty beans I have enjoyed, but for an "everyday" coffee, I like the Kicking Horse brand. It goes on sale quite a bit so I'll buy in bulk and vacuum seal/freeze when needed.

Got the Jura Ena 8 earlier this year and its been amazing. The main differences are a few less coffee selections and smaller size and capacity. But for two people it is perfect and we each have two cups of something a day. It makes all the milk based drinks we could want plus all the espresso options we need.

Its so popular in our household that coffee shop visits have completely stopped.

If you don't have the size for the E8 (or want to save a bit of money) check out the Ena 8. Cleaning is also much easier than I expected.

I have 2 saeco xelsis machines and love 'em. They are huge but function well and make hot drinks that are actually hot and has adjustable temp which is a big complaint in jura reviews.

My oldest one is 6 years old and we have replaced an o ring on the water tank, which was easy and cost about $2. Highly recommended this model.

ETA: do not use anything but a medium non oily bean in your superauto burr grinder *ever* unless you want a $2000 doorstop instead of a coffee maker. If I use dark beans I grind enough in a separate grinder and drop in manually through the hatch the machine has for this purpose

I didn't even think about using the bypass doser for oily beans.

I do not buy oily beans. Also, people know I like coffee. I am always getting different coffees as gifts. When I receive oily beans, I keep it to myself that I can't use them and take the beans to work. I still get to enjoy them, just not as my regular flat white or espresso.

the next time I get a gift with oily beans I will grind it separately.

I run Urnex SuperGrindz through my machine every few weeks. Even running non-oily beans, the grinder can use a periodic cleaning. My cleaning frequency might be a little overkill.

It is $20 on Amazon and usually $35+ everywhere else. For me, a container will last about 10 uses
