I have a 7lb bone in pork shoulder and was feeling like some pulled pork. Can I cook this in the instant pot with bone in? Or do I need to try to debone it and cut it into smaller pieces.

Absolutely. If you like crispy bits, put a bit of oil in the bottom, season your roast and then sear all sides using the saut button. Then use the pressure cooker to cook.

Don't forget to add liquid.

It's easy, faster, and wonderful!

My wife found a recipe for a crock pit pork roast that included bacon on the bottom, garlic cloves embedded in the meat, and simple seasoning. It wasn't as good as the smoker, but it was good.

We do pulled pork in the Instant Pot about once a month and use root beer as a liquid. It's a hit with my family.

We do this a well, then pull it and put in oven on broil to get the crispy bits.

Yep, same. We mix in some BBQ sauce and then broil for a few minutes.

Good tip on the broil. I'll def do that next time since I do love the texture that the bark usually gives from smoking it.

Turned out great though. Pressure cooked for an hour
