"Develops in the bottle up to 5 years"

The 2021 "drink by" date is Aug 30, 2026.




Some beers definitely do tend to get better with a few years aging in the bottle. but beyond 5 years you often hit limiting returns or the beer begins to gets worse. so in my experience that's a good drink-by date. but I wouldn't throw a beer like that out at that age either.

I think I preferred the rye recipe over the wheated, but it's a good bottle either way.

I have both now, so I'll be able to finally compare. It was just absolute hell tracking down the wheat. I found a rye on the shelf and that got killed in two weeks, Now I've got an unopened rye and wheat. Once I find a straight rye I'm planning to host a tasting with some friends.
