My searches for Tres Leches recipes on Texags were fruitless. Any favorite recipes for TL or Sopapillas?

We make Alton Brown's tres leche several times a year. Easy recipe and everyone always loves it!

A fried tortilla with cinnamon and sugar is actually something called a "buuelo", very traditional around the Christmas holidays, but they are completely different from sopapillas. I know that doesn'st answer the OP question or request for a recipe but wanted to weigh in on the fried tortilla comment.

Edit: don't know why my text gets altered, the word is "bunuelo" with a "~" over the "n".

Maryland has it right. Bunuelos are fried tortillas with cinnamon and sugar. They go wonderful dipped in a cheap syrup of some kind, my favorite way to eat them.

As mentioned, sopapillas are more like Beignet's with different folks having different ways and or flavors of making them.

I'm guessing "RGV" is maybe Rio Grand Valley, "Maryland" is where I lived for 6 years but I'm from Zapata, TX so we are on the same page on the difference between bunuelos and sopapillas. Live in Cypress, TX now and here in the Houston area they use the terms interchangeably, but they are not the same thing!
