I may be late to the party but I recently started watching the Chefsteps youtube channel. Most of their food looks amazing but is a little out of reach for those without a commercial kitchen setup.

They posted a biscuit how to so I gave it a shot. They were AMAZING!

Here is the video:

Here is how mine turned out

Watched the video, pretty awesome. Seems a bit out of my league but maybe not.

I bet those biscuits are delicious...especially with some fruit and ice cream.

Love to see cooking like that...only wish I could replicate it at home.

Thanks for sharing! I made these a couple weeks ago and they were amazing. Grating frozen butter is a huge pain in the ass but worth it. May employ the cuisinart next time for that step.

Got a chicken hanging in the fridge right now for this recipe

I've made a few things from their site...starting with those biscuits. As in that video:

Biscuits + vanilla ice cream + blackberry preserves = major effing win

Made them several times now and they are awesome and not that hard to make.

Agree that them + Ice cream = Best thing ever

Little late to this party, but had a chance to make these yesterday. I didn't have any of the White Lilly self rising flour so made a sub using some stone ground unbleached flour, baking powder and salt. Due to the unbleached flour they don't look super appealing but damn do they taste good.

The flour makes a big difference.

I wonder how they would be with gluten free flour?

Got the right flour and experimented with making them not as rich. They came out great!

Less rich? For shame.
