I'm not sure, but I hope Texas Taco Co does a good job at copying it. Since their entire menu is copied from Torchy's anyways, right? I agree, theirs is fantastic.
I might get hammered for this, but Torchy's queso is the best queso I have ever had.
Torchy's queso is really good, but it is not as awesome as some people make it out to be.
Torchy's Queso is better than Chuy's Ranch Sauce.

good but not as good as the queso using sodium citrate (pappasitos/uncle julios)
It's ok, but not nearly as good as velveeta and rotel.

Because cheese, chili, guac and sour cream is so difficult to combine.
Matt's requires the beef, guac, and SC to hold up the yellow water they call queso.
And I wouldn't say Torchy's is the best, but it is damn good. I don't know who's I'd rate as my favorite. Torchy's is even better when you add extra habanero salsa to it.

It really hurts the waistline living a few miles from both of those quesos. Even worse is MichaelJ pulled the recipe up and now I have a copy.

Molina's has multiple locations, but according to their website, the Hwy 6 location is no longer open. I'm not sure when it closed though. (I no longer live in Houston either)
