I'm staying at the Embassy Suites at the Galleria for the next few days. What is there to do nearby and where in the hell is the nearest liquor store that has a good selection of craft beer?

it's a few miles away from the galleria but the smith st. specs in midtown is a must.

Central Market prolly best bet near galleria, but yes, if you want to venture to the big specs, its the xanadu

if you are going to Specs, head to D&Q as well. It isn't too far away from there.

Theres a specs at Sage and Richmond, but it's not as awesome as the downtown location.

Possible candidate for the worst Spec's in town. Good for a liquor store but small for a Spec's and lets just say they have to keep the Grey Goose behind the counter. Then again, you can walk there, so that is nice. Midtown (as stated) is freaking awesome.

Other than that, you are going to have to be more specific when it comes to "things to do" in the Galleria. Pretty much anything is available. Anything, for better or worse.
