I wanted to pass along that US Navy CAPT(ret) Chris Gierhart, Class of '99 tragically passed away last week. It's hard to put into words the lasting impact he has had on his peers, Junior Officers, and Sailors.

Great person. Chris was a class behind me in my outfit. He introduced me to a lot of music I enjoy to this day. He had a huge smile and was just good to be around. Chris had an interesting career in the Navy. He left us too soon. If you read the article, it's just tragic. He's a hero to be remembered. May his family get the support they need in this difficult time.
