Incoming DIV CSM at 1AD was apparently busted doing something inappropriate with government funds and has been given his pink slip. The person in question was my CO 1SG back when I was an XO.

Given my interactions with him........there is a 0% chance he didn't do what they are accusing him off. He was as shady as it gets. A bit troublesome that the Army let him get as high up the food chain as he did. Its petty but I'm glad he fell on his face.

A 24th ID battalion commander in the 1st Iraq war came home with a stolen enemy rifle in a footlocker, made the mistake of telling a few people, one of whom was a brand new WO1 who was 3 blocked on his OER by the senior rater, the BN CO. The battalion was standing in formation when the Sea Land vans pulled up, everyone expecting to grab their stuff off the van. Up comes a car with a few CID agents inside, they pull his footlocker aside and open it in front of the entire unit. Off they drive with the rifle and the commander inside. He got a round of applause as it happened, he wasn't exactly liked by his men.

Sorta the same thing happed at Fort Richardson when the 3G Commander got off the plane (I think returning from JRTC) and was arrested on the tarmac (years of fraudulent claims during PCS moves) sometimes it actually catches up with you

Have zero insight into the specifics of what lead him to be fired.

My take on this is based on his past actions and overall personality........I can absolutely see him being very sketchy. I forwarded the article to 8 people who have also worked with him and the take was universal, To paraphrase all replied, "yeah, I can see him doing something to get canned".

Holy Hell, I think I served with this guy at Hood.

That name sounds way too familiar.

I was there in 2014-2017 then again 2020-202.

Edit: Yep he was working in the same building with me. G3 at III Corps
