I have a granddaughter who will be a zip in the Corps next year. She has just recently advised me that if you are a legacy, and your family member wore the AMC collar brass, you are allowed to wear it in place of the TAMU. I have searched through every drawer, box and pocket I could think of and can't find mine (I was '67 and actually wore both).

If anyone still has theirs, I would love to purchase it from you, or borrow it from you, or make a nice donation to the CofC Association (I am a member) in your name. I hate I can't find mine and she is the first family member since 1967 to be in the Corps.

She is also on a DOD full ride and in Nursing School. I was greatly honored to administer the Oath of Allegiance to her and her "old lady" last year.

Question is that only apply to the class of '68 on back or does it apply to some of us who wore an AMC on a pull-out.

UPDATE....

A good Ag has offered to send me one. I knew the Aggie family would come through. She will wear it proudly next year!

Then are they going to get to wear cross stitching, Ike jackets, and green pants?

Yeah, I don't agree with this at all. Just a strange decision on the part of whoever is in charge these days.

I certainly don't wish to be any older than I am, but I would have loved to have worn AMCs and cross stitching as my seniors did.

I call B.S on this. Educated guess is you hope to be a lot older than you are now.
