Sad to hear about H-1, those were some badass mofos. Spider D was...strange. The others were all reformed while I was there, not too sad to see them go I guess. But what's this I hear about Corps membership decreasing? Somehow the Corps hasn't mentioned that to me in the newsletters.

That's one way to put it.

H-1 was a very solid outfit. Sad if true that they got disbanded.

I think Spider D has been disbanded more times than any other outfit on Campus.

It's also the ONLY Corps outfit, besides the Band (BQs), mentioned on the MSC Aggie "Traditions" word carving panel. Disbanded twice in my Aggie lifetime (1965-2022) in Dec. 1969 (over the Christmas break) & spring 2018, I think. The 2018 one was well deserved from what I've been told by a classmate with high level Trigon connections.

I'm an old spider. The unit was disbanded a few years ago and immediately reformed and integrated from what I heard. Surprised they're disbanding them again. Hopefully the outfit flag doesn't get lost.

Not sure why, but I have a feeling that the outfit flag and other gear is safe, tucked away for future use.

4 disbanded and charged to outgoing Commandant and staff.
4 more disbanded and charged to incoming Commandant.
8 total.
If CoC is shrinking (1700 ish) how will the new 3000 initiative be successful without sacrificing fundamental elements of the CoC (ie, patty cake cadets?)

You know that's been a real concern for some time. I've posted this before but it's worth repeating. In a conversation I had with Colonel Stewert Hervey '17. That's the the class of '17 that went to Camp Stanley, and so many members are remembered with flags around Kyle Field. His classmate's concern was that before a real Texas Aggie would take off the grey uniform and put on those boots, they ought to burn the place down and give it back to the Indians. How'd that work out?

Not sure where AgDorm12 got his info, but its completely wrong.

NO outfits disbanded (charged?!?) under the previous Commandant and staff. Four (4) - and ONLY 4 outfits disbanded at the end of this school year by the Interim Commandant and staff, with the intent to reactivate them once numbers go up again.

Outfits have been disbanded many times in the past, and our intent is to capitalize on the March to 3000 Campaign, grow the Corps back to numbers we saw prior to COVID, and in turn bring back those 4 outfits disbanded this year and hopefully many more, as we did in the past 10 years (13 outfits reactivated in the past 10 years).

Those are the facts. Per Unitatem Vis!
