I don't get why people think they can get away with theft of govt property, especially sensitive items.

I spent about 14 years at Ft Hood, over three assignments. It is just too big. No Army post should be larger than a single division with its supporting elements. That would make it easier to control all the BS that goes on there.

It might help if the ARMY raised the minimal entry standards for personnel desiring to be among America's finest.

I don't disagree, but in this case it seems like a couple of veterans one of which had inside info on what was stored where did a targeted theft. I'm not sure you can ever stop that.
