My grandpa served on that ship in WWII. It was sunk as a target ship in 1982 off the coast of California. If it is at a depth that is divable, I've always had it on my bucket list to dive.

How do I find out where it is or what depth it's at?

I remember my grandpa telling me he saw the sister ship torpedoed. Never said where it happened. Now, I know it happened in the Mediterranean. He also had a certificate that he went below the equator. Those convoys were not straight across the Atlantic.
