Curious what the argument would be to move it from Peterson

Peterson and San Antonio are where I hope it lands. Only thing I can think of as minus for keeping at Peterson is the lack of physical space to expand on Pete. Always figured Schriever would be ideal, plenty of land to build a sweet HQ and would provide a reason to expand housing and base services out there.

Vote for Schriever, so it's at a base named for an Aggie.

You'd think proximity to Cheyenne Mountain would be another plus for Schriever, unless they want a geographically separate command to avoid losing both in one strike.

Schriever is only like 10 miles east of Pete. Also assuming you were referring to NORAD/USNORTHCOM when mentioning Cheyenne Mtn AFS but the HQ is actually at Pete

I don't think it will move; the Chinese are not happy with what Trump did creating space force, and thus I think the progressive left will move to roll it back into USAF. Certainly, funds to move the HQ are unlikely to happen/be used for that purpose.

Similarly, I think the manned program (Artemis) to send people back to the moon and then to mars will be eliminated over a few years, as the new NASA mission (which could impact space force funding as well), is to 'study' (validate) AGW (under Kendra Horn).
