Thoughts and prayers to these Sailors. I'm on a ship a few piers over. The fire has been burning all day and the fire parties had to evacuate due to the ship being too hot. The fire appears to have spread throughout the entire ship.
There were two ships on the same pier as them and when explosions started to occur onboard BHR, the other ships were dead sticked (moves by tug) to a safer pier. This was an amazing feat as they did it without a brief, without port operations and crane support, and without being able to see a few feet in front of their face due to the wind blowing the smoke across their ships. The Sailors had to disconnect and toss the shore power cables into the water once the power was secured to the pier.
