Fantastic book. Though it is a fictional novel it does build off of what the author experienced himself.

A good watch if ya got a few minutes.

Great book. One of my kids gave it to me for Christmas. Couldn't put it down.

One of my favorites.

Mr. Marlantes came by 1/4's CP on Camp Horno when I was there in 2017. We pulled his Navy Cross citation off the wall for him - he was visibly emotional from that gesture. He hung around for 30 min or so to BS with the junior Marines. One of those moments I won't forget.

I read it a couple of years ago.

Frankly, it was gut-wrenching. It is a window into what war is like.

incidentally, the author has a non-fiction book called "What It's Like To Go To War" that is excellent.
