From the Commandant's Facebook page:
The following is the latest guidance concerning Commissioning and Summer Training for all cadets in one of the Texas A&M University ROTC Programs:
Commissioning Commissioning ceremonies will still be conducted for all cadets who are set to commission into the Armed Forces in May. More details to follow concerning exactly how and when commissioning ceremonies will be conducted, but it is expected that they will be a combination of private, in-person ceremonies (individual cadets with limited family members conducted at various locations on campus) for some cadets, and online ceremonies for others. For now, it is expected that there will NOT be large, mass commissioning ceremonies by each service as is traditionally conducted each May. In addition, all administrative requirements that must be completed for each cadet prior to commissioning will also be a combination of in-person completion and signing of required documents for some, and online completion and signing for others. Each ROTC will publish commissioning guidance for cadets set to commission in May as decisions are made by their respective commands.
Summer ROTC Training For now, all ROTC Summer Training is still expected to be conducted, although plans for potentially truncating training dates and times are currently being discussed. Again, each ROTC will publish guidance for Summer Training once it's been determined by their respective commands.
For those cadets who are planning to commission into the Armed Forces in May, or are planning to conduct ROTC Summer Training this summer, please contact your respective ROTC cadre for updates and guidance on how and when these important events will be conducted. The following are the phone numbers to contact for your respective ROTCs if you have questions:
