I took my nephew to the Wings over Houston air show yesterday and after the T-birds demonstration we had the honor to meet Maj. Trevor Aldridge, Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of '09, who will be flying the #2 jet for the T-birds beginning next season.

He was extraordinarily kind with the kids getting autographs and we spoke a little bit about the football game, and if the reality of being on the team had sunk in yet (he said "not really"). Got a great picture of him and my nephew. Just a super nice gentleman and an outstanding representative of Texas A&M!

Definitely someone we can all be proud of!

He's an article from the Eagle when he was announced as having made the Team in August: https://www.theeagle.com/news/local/texas-a-m-graduate-selected-for-air-force-s-thunderbirds/article_a30e6dd2-b41e-11e9-bf8e-fbd2a3001054.amp.html

Very cool. There's also an Ag on the Blue Angels, a guy who commissioned after A&M (I think). The T-Bird did go through the Corps.

I've met a former T-Bird, my daughter's CO for a while. Nice guy, obvious hard charger on his way up. But he did several things as a leader that impressed me, too.

The Current CO of the Blues (Capt. Eric Doyle '96) is an Ag (although I think this is his final season).

We were there yesterday for the show. It was awesome! It was great to see so many people out there, and so many younger generations enjoying it as well.

Blues CO took over last year around this time, I believe. Met him at the O Club in Pensacola. Nice guy. Though couldn't squeeze a back seat ride out of him.

Also, I believe Aldridge was class of '08, though he probably did a victory lap (like many of us).
