An Amarillo aviation photog posted the link to this. I had no idea that they have an open house for a bombing range. This was yesterday (why didn't he let me know in advance!) Pretty cool runs.

When I was at Ft. Riley we use to train at Smokey Hill. Was pretty cool stuff. Not too often you get to "call in" CAS in a training environment. Honestly it's where I first learned we had attached Air Force personnel as a young soldier. Had never heard of a "JTAC" before then.

Very cool.

They do bomb/gun runs at Fort Hood too but civilians never get to see them like this.
