Wanted to share the post from nortex97:

"Just a helluva man, to quote another. Wanted to be a preacher, but enlisted early over the objections of his parents.

Reading about the battle (and ongoing unit tradition of reading the names of those lost) is pretty darn humbling. A combat engineer Battalion essentially holding a position vs. 5 divisions of Chicoms (to allow the division to retreat/escape). Wow."

Thankful he's back on home ground. His 5 siblings are still with us. I hope it brings them some peace.
