If there was one group of WW II veterans more disrespected by Congress, it was the Merchant Marine. For years, a belated thank you in Congress was shelved by Democrats. Now it does not matter for my late father, a WW II Merchant Seaman, never got the recognition he and the remaining thousands deserved.
