Tried to give myself a high and tight, pussied out halfway through. Sides and back are shorn but top is still long and not sure I can get the transition right. Currently look like a ****ing muppet.

Need someplace that can clean up this mess and not laugh at my ass at the same time.

Southgate/Maroon&White and Northgate are all used to ****ty fish buddy cuts. They'll probably still make fun of your ass but they'll fix it.

Is Southgate behind what was Loupots? I heard some tales of bad hair cuts from there. I pretty much stuck to Northgate because that's where we went during FOW and it was convenient (close to Sbisa).

I used to cut my buddies' hair all the time, and occassionally my own. Definitely took me a few times to get my own right. Luckily I was FDT, so I had an excuse to have a limited fade. SparkE, I hope you're a fish.

I think there are stories from all of the barbershops in town which is really a shame, you would think someone would be able to consistently give corps cuts well...not like they are missing out on practice.

I will say Gene at southgate is terrible, he's also been there around 30 years from a conversation I overheard when I was there last. Bobby is the only one I ever see people wait on and the other two there aren't bad.

Maroon and white was my go-to barber shop while in the Corps. Never walked out with a bad hair cut there, and is always worth the wait. The barbers are all skilled, and the owner is extremely meticulous. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

I still remember pulling my CO's boots after a Southgate fishcut. He immediately guessed where it was from and recommend I not do that again.

not since the renovation. There has been talk of putting a barber shop on the Quad, but I don't think it's amounted to much.

When you say not since the renovation, do you mean there was one there right before it? I don't think there has been one there for at least 12 years. If there was, then I certainly missed it.

Also, there was talk of a barber shop on the Quad when I was there. It would make serious money about 8 months out of the year, and probably really hurt business every where else around campus. They could probably also get away with charging more due to the convenience.

It was still under construction my freshman year, and wasn't completed until the end of my freshman year. So I don't really know what was downstairs prior to renovations.

Bobby, Gene, Lydia and Douglas are still at Southgate. They all do a good job. I guess it's hard to mess up up a three finger whitewall with a 6 on the top. I stop by every few months but they're working on pricing themselves out as compared to some of the quickie cut places around.
