I dont know if any or many of you have been to the Globe & Laurel just outside of Quantico, VA. The proprietor's wife, Gloria Spooner just passed away not too long ago.

The Globe is a long time favorite of Marines and FBI agents alike. I have known the Spooners since my Dad first took me to the Globe in 1973.

It is a wonderful restaurant and filled with more "hardware" on any given night than the Pentagon.

RIP Gloria Spooner.

That's too bad. It was fun watching her yell at her husband. She didn't take crap from anyone!

And I didn't mean that in a disrespectful way. She will be missed!

Popped in there on my way home from a long day of research at the Breckinridge Library. It is indeed a piece of history.

Sad to hear she passed away RIP.

I was not aware. I drove by TG&L yesterday but have not visited it in a couple of months. I don't know how long she was ill but the last time I was there neither Gloria nor Rick were present and the service and quality of food was definitely below his standards.
