I read last year that on TX DL starting this year sometime that if youre a veteran you can have that status on your DL. Does anyone know when this goes into effect?

not for or against but when would you need that on there? just wondering (not trying to be rude, just curious) my husband is almost at 20 years and i use my military ID for everything, hardly ever use my license

When you're pulled over for speeding and hoping the cop gives you a break.

According to the website posted above, currently serving servicemembers are not eligible for the "Veteran" designation. You need to have been discharged with an "honorable" or "general" discharge. That's odd. I think a 19 yr servicemember ought to get as much recognition as a guy who served for 36 months a few years back.

So you don't have to bust out your DD214 to get your free buffet at Golden Corral on November 11th.

Yeah, but Applebees does the same thing on Veterans Day and they aren't so bad.

In Georgia, Veteran's DLs are free.

applebees is gross but Texas Roadhouse does the same thing and it's delish
