I saw a smoking hot girl at Texas State last semester wearing Senior Boots over jeans. I was furious, but to be honest it was incredibly attractive.

I know, cool story bro.

well at least someone is wearing them. Wish I could find a use for my boots.

They could have been English riding boots. Little difference.

We would have been smoke for being in possession of senior boots as fish. One of the WAGs in another outfit was on the equestrian team and she would get smoked everyday she came in the door in her riding paints and boots.

I am 100% certain they were Senior Boots, they had a gold cross on the one I got a good look at in the same place where my friend had his.

Gold cross? Must be a new army something.

It is indeed, I'm not the biggest fan. I figure she raided her big sister's closet.

Gold cross? Was it located on the butterflies? The things that cover where the laces would be, if boots still had them. If she had butterflies on then she would have had to have been wearing spurs, or at least the spur strap to hold them in place.

I remember when I did my high school recruiting with my boots on, one of my old teachers told me she'd love to have a pair of boots like mine...

Canyon, do you know anyone named K A Donnely Jr '78? And do you know if he was on FDT?

I would think this is Ken Donnely. He was FDT CO our fish year, and deputy corps cdr our senior year. USMC contract, went to flight school, was killed in a Harrier crash very early on, around 1980 or so.

Makes sense, I was going through some old paperwork I found and noticed something that looked like a small memorial fund/scholarship set up in his name.

Although I had heard Tommy Weishaupt was the harrier pilot. Perhaps a mix-up as names were passed down through the years.

Sorry, don't know Donnley.

And the "butterflies" over the spurs are new army, too.

The name in the boots: Nicholas "Nick" Mees, Sr. passed away in March of 2010. Seems he was class of '44, but graduated in 1949. Came back from WWII and went back into the Corps instead of as a veteran civilian student.

Spur straps, yes. Spurs were missing.

I'll try and see if I can find her again, it's definitely boot season in San Marcos.

Yeah, I never got the butterflies. Several folks that weren't in the Corps told me it looked cleaner, but most cadets found it odd I didn't have them.

I'm thinking about bidding on those boots so I can donate 'em to the Corps Center. Wonder if they'd be interested.

The Corps Center has been fitting more cadets this year than in prior years and is still accepting boots for the loan program.

Well AG15, I'll go on and state what I implied in my first post. If you got those boots legitimately, I see no problem with you selling them. Don't quite see why the OP is up in arms.

Canyonag77, did you know Dewey Bolton Sr. '76? He was in F1 and he was CO of W1 second semester of his senior year. My dad.

Probably because a fish has senior boots, not his privilege.

I remember a BQ sergebutt I knew not smoking a sophomore who was wearing his dad's senior boots around the dorm saying "it's not my privilege to have them, so I can't smoke you for it." Since I knew the pisshead in question, I was like "screw that" and I proceeded to smoke him. Never understood not smoking an underclassmen for something that wasn't your privilege. Pretty common in some outfits.

Sorry 15, I don't recall him. Though the first female 4-year CO of W-1 is a friend of mine, Roxie Pranglin.

Well, I understand that, but the level of outrage seemed to be much higher than "privilege". And if he doesn't have them in the dorm...???

LMAO!!! fish Massey!! Holy sheet that week sucked when they first found them, for the whole class not just her.

Adams-I Agree with you they need to smoke the class. But IIRC after that week the Zips gave Massey ZP's any time she was going to practice to rest anyone that said anything, and when she got back to the dorm she was required to keep them perfectly polished and wired to her hutch. It was pretty hysterical when the Corps Staff IG showed up to do inspections.
