As I'm listening to this press conference, and from that other threat about General Ramirez, I gotta say - Sherman for Commandant!

Yep, what we need is a career football coach with zero military experience being commandant of a Senior Military College.

Really?

He's got military experience, he goes to Iraq to visit with the troops. And if you've followed the players' reactions or listened to the press conference you'd get the impression that he was extremely close and connected to them, and like a father figure to them. Imagine the type of buy-in he'd be able to achieve for his policies. He was also one heck of a recruiter in football, if he could replicate that kind of success for the Corps - bringing in quality high character folks (like Matt Davis), we'd be doing alright. All he'd need is a good set of assistant commandants with military experience, similar to having a good set off coordinators and coaches.

Also, this is the internet, people aren't always 100% serious on it.

Coaches are in a totally different situation. They talk to all the players at least once at each practice and spend significant individual time with many of the players. The Commandant deals with the Corps Commander and 3 diamond guys but rarely talks to the entire Corps. Coach Sherman is a leader of Character and he would come in just like the guys before him and not tolerate the BS. There are some cadets who wont buy into a change in some of their traditions (no matter how unprofessional some of them are) and would push back. The Commandant can either bow to the few or stick to what he believes is right. I believe Sherman wouldnt put up with it.

I am 100% for Sherman as the new Commandant, since I was recently told that G-ram is on his way out after this year due to Financial difficulties and a Sexual harassment case brewing in the commandants office.

Maybe this is sarcasm, but in case it is not, it is bullcrap.
