I met this young man in Washington on the Clemson game weekend. He is about 6'4" and was at A&M for about a semister before he left and joined the Army. Told my wife and I he was going back to A&M as soon as possible.

Glad to have him.

Hooah. So is Delta Co. what we used to refer to as the day duck outfit?

Red,

V1 is day duck outfit
D CO is for veterans

V1 cadets will try to argue that they are the veteran outfit but they really aren't anymore .They currently have one or 2 veterans and then a bunch of cadets that went to basic training. From what I have seen there are a lot of cadets that are from college station that join that outfit because their parents live here

Is D company a new thing?

I remember meeting with V1 but I wasn't really into it. I wanted the campus experience but couldn't see frogging into a traditional corps outfit.

I don't remember a company like that one. If it was there in 92 and I missed it, shame on me. If it wasn't there, I wish it would have been there as I probably would have joined that outfit.

D Co is primarialy made up of your desert combat vets. Been around since '05...I think. SSG May is one hard chargin' son of gun. A fine paratrooper from the finest division in the military...the 82nd Airborne...All Americans...America's Guard of Honor! Hooah!

My wife and I met him and his wife at March-In for the Oklahoma State game. His wife is a veteran as well; they seem like good people.

As the army is a small world, the PA who worked with them in the Old Guard ended up being assigned to my wife's BAS in Iraq (OND).

This guy is awesome. He is the Delta Company mentor for my outfit. I wish it was his full time job to help us out

They will find the streets are guarded
