Wow! Those little dudes were hot! A special treat for fish when any one of their buds at the table "buzzed" (i.e. smirked or smiled or laughed).

We had the privilege of picking one out of the bottle, chewing it up...wait for it...and then holding our tongues out so the upperclassman could see we chewed it up...then and only then were we allowed to swallow it. When the air hit the sauce, the fire hit your tongue! Thank goodness for "deal" (i.e. bread) and "sweet stuff" (i.e. sugar) to quench the fire!

We had the unfortunate luck of having a fish bud who would "buzz" at almost anything that even resembled funny and the butt who sat next too him took full advantage of it.

At one point, we managed to change out the peppers with green beans and vinegar to make it easier. When we got caught with our "tamed" "buzz berries", all heck broke loose! After that, we were doomed to the real deal.

Is that hazing now? I certainly wouldn't consider it hazing. I'm Mexican I love all my food extremely spicy. Those little peppers are a great addition to sandwiches.

What wasn't hazing back in the 80's?

We called them tiger dicks.

Used to have contests with the pissheads (at their behest, of course) when we were fish to see who could eat the most. They had their bottle; we had ours.

Imagine our surprise when one of the waiters told us at the end of the year that they had put smooth, small pickles in their bottle.

The current Corps should really miss the family style meals (with hot corners).

Many a memory comes from "outfit antics" at Sibsa and Duncan.

(Some rare Mess Hall scenes from Sibsa in "We've Never Been Licked".)

Had it not been for contraband canned Vienna sausages, canned sardienes, cheeze, peanut butter and crackers fish Bop would have starved.
